 The 30 years of post-Soviet history have led us to this catastrophe. Tremendous social inequality became the basis of dictatorship because, along with their control over property, the poorest majority lost their political voice. Shameful nationalist and xenophobic talk has been used over the years by most of the regimes that have come to power on the ruins of the Soviet Union. Pitting nations against each other, the oligarchs strengthened their power before finally bringing us to war.

Ultimately, at the very foundation of Russia today is the 1993 military Phone Number List carried out by Vladimir Putin's predecessor, Boris Yeltsin, with the full support of Western governments. Back then, the government shot at Parliament from tanks in the name of “democracy” and silenced the working class for decades, forgetting about their collective strength. Today we are simply reaping the results of this society of inequality and exploitation. The Russian working class will have to change their country completely to stop this war. It's a simple truth. And yet, only the Russian left can say it. There is no one else.



In addition to a frequently demanded reform of the procurement system of the German Armed Forces, a closer integration and further unification of military forces within the Union is essential. Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, the European Union has found new unity and adopted the most comprehensive sanctions package in its history. In addition, it is delivering defensive weapons to a crisis zone for the first time.
